NFL The regular season kicks off tonight with a rematch of Super Bowl 50. Denver beat Carolina in February to claim the Lombardi Trophy, but the rematch wont feature Peyton Manning, who retired during the offseason. Trevor Siemian will make his first NFL start for the Broncos tonight at QB.

Baseball Canada Canada surrendered just one hit in a 8-1 win over Venezuela at the Women's Baseball World Cup to improve their record to 2-0.

World Cup of Hockey Pre-tournament play for the World Cup of Hockey starts today around the world. Team North America, featuring players 23-and-under from Canada and the US, faces Team Europe tonight in Quebec City. Meanwhile, Finland hosts Sweden in Helsinki while the Czech Republic visits Russia in Moscow.
