Hockey Briefs for November 3

The Lambton Shores Predators lost 6-2 in London Wednesday night to drop their seventh straight game.

Andrew Kim and Wes Dobbin scored for the Preds, who host St. Mary's Saturday night.

The Nationals scored five second period goals in the victory. Former Pred and Petrolia native Brenden Trottier had a pair of assists.

Elsewhere Wednesday evening, LaSalle got by Strathroy 5-3.

The Sarnia Legionnaires host London at Sarnia Arena Thursday night.

Wallaceburg lost 8-3 to Essex Wednesday night.

The Lakers' got a pair of goals and an assist from Trevor Waller in the loss.

Quick turn around for the hockey club, as the Lakers are in Petrolia Thursday evening to face the Flyers.

Wallaceburg currently sits last in the Bill Stobbs Division, five points back of Petrolia for the final playoff spot.

The Sarnia Sting beat the Kitchener Rangers 5-3 Wednesday night.

Nikita Korostelev will skate for team Russia when they take on the top players from the OHL later this month in the CHL Canada Russia Series.
