Plenty of local sports going on in Sarnia-Lambton, here's what you need to know:
The Sarnia Braves have now won 17 straight games after sweeping Sunday's home double header against the Oakridge Reds 19-6 and 15-1. The Braves hit four home runs on the day, including a pair from Julian Service. Nick Baljeu improved to 4-0 with a victory in the first game. Anthony Shepherd won the second game and saw his record improve to 5-0.

In OLA Junior 'B' lacrosse, the Point Edward Pacers dropped the opening two games of their first round series against the Six Nations Rebels. The Pacers now face elimination, and are in a must win situation when they travel to Six Nations Friday night.

Sarnia's Julia Greenshields is returning home to Canada with a bronze medal. This after the Canadian Women's Rugby Sevens team finished third at the Clermont Sevens Rugby Championship in France.

Brigden's Cole Thompson finished first in both motos at the Rockstar Energy Motocross Nationals. The stop in Regina was the fourth race on the summer circuit. He currently sits first through three four racers, 33 points up on 2nd.

Sarnia Imperials held on to beat the Try City Outlaws 40-36 on Saturday. Sarnia has now won two straight, while it was the Outlaws first loss of the season. The two teams are tied for first in the West Standings with identical 3-1 records. The two teams mean again Saturday night for a Canada Day showdown at Norm Perry Park, kick off is set for 7pm.

A 1-2 weekend for the Sarnia Sturgeons: Junior Varsity (3-2) lost to Brantford, Bantams (3-2) lost to Vaughan, and Peewees (3-1) beat Vaughan.
Three Sarnia Sting forwards were taken in the NHL Entry Draft of the weekend. The CHL Import Draft is set for Wednesday morning.

Sarnia Spirit Under-13 girls soccer team beat London 5-3 Sunday, advancing to the third round of the Ontario Cup. Sarah Gardner scored a hat trick in the victory, Madison Tuer scored twice. They'll play Glen Shields next Saturday in the fourth round of the Ontario Cup. Before that, the Spirit host Oakridge in league play at 6:30pm Wednesday night. Both games will be at Veterans Fields.
