The Sarnia Sting (13-16-0-0) won for just the third time in 11 games with a 6-3 victory over the Otters (11-10-2-6) in Erie in OHL action Sunday.

Ryan Roth led the way for the Sting with two goals.

The game was tied 2-2 after one period before Roth scored both of his goals to open up a 4-2 lead after two. Sarnia scored two more in the third before the Otters edged closer with a late goal to make the final 6-3.

Ben Gaudreau was solid in the Sting crease, stopping 44 of 47 shots faced. Daniel Murphy turned aside 19 of 25 shots for Erie.

Sarnia sits in last place in the Western Conference with 26 points, but they're just five points out of sixth place.
