The Head Pro at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club is excited to show off the newly-renovated course at this weekend's annual Men's Invitational Tournament.
The two-day event is set for Friday and Saturday, and features 129 players from across Ontario and Michigan.
Jamie Parkinson said a lot of work has been done to refresh the course.
"The renovations included all new tee decks on all of our par threes, and new tee decks on the 11th and 18th holes," said Parkinson. "All of the bunkers have been renovated with new liners, new drainage and new irrigation. It's basically the look that you see at all PGA events now, with the sod wrapped around the edges. I had a chance to play this week for the first time, and we're very proud of what has been done here.
Parkinson said some names to watch out for include defending champion Graham Hill, and past winners John Thrasher, Steve Brown and Gerard McAnulty.
Other notables in the field include Heath McCormick, Eric Pattenaude, Pete McMenemy, Cam Kellett, Andrew Dagneau, and Graeme Brunet.
Tee-times begin at 7:30 a.m. both Friday and Saturday, with the leaders and low flights teeing-off after 1:00 p.m.
Spectators are welcome to attend.
