Sarnia's season came to a close with a win against the Flint Firebirds on Saturday.
Sting goalie Nick Surzycia ended his season with a 41-save shutout, earning him first star of the game. It was the first shutout of his OHL career.
Flint's goalie, Nathan Day, didn't face nearly as much pressure as Sarnia only had 18 shots on net for the entire game.
Despite being severely outshot, the Sting won with a score of 3-0.
Zach Filak scored a pair of goals for Sarnia, while Marko Sikic rounded out the scoring in his final OHL contest.
Sikic had a multi-point night, as he assisted on Filak's goal. This earned him the second star of the game.
Sting captain Cooper Way ended up as third star. He registered two assists in his last OHL game.
The Sting's record for the 2023-2024 season was 25-39-3-1.
