Three Sarnia Sting players are competing at the USA Hockey Boys 17 Festival.
Forwards Kase Kamzik, from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Easton Walos, from Hartland, Wisconsin, are included on the roster.
They both signed standard player agreements with the Sting in June.
Forward Chase Gaughan of Drums, Pennsylvania, who was signed to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement in May 2024, is also participating.
The festival started on July 7 and will continue until July 13, at The Northtown Center in Amherst, New York.
It's being held following the boys 16 camp, to better accommodate professional and amateur scouting.
USA Hockey said the Boys National 17 Festival is a district team-based tournament format, but the priority is still to improve and showcase the players participating.
Players will experience a competitive, age-specific environment with on-ice training (drills, small area games, competitions) and off-ice training (strength and conditioning, team building, mental skills, nutrition, and classroom activities). Players from the festival will be evaluated and selected to attend the Hlinka Gretzky Cup Camp.
Those chosen from the Hlinka Camp will play for the 2025 U.S. Under-18 Select Team during the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
