Total Receipts 2103 cattle & 622 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold under pressure at lower prices. Choice strs and hfrs 164.00 – 168.00 sales to 172.00. Second cut 160.00 – 164.00. Cows sold steady Thursday Holstein calves sold steady to last week’s stronger market while a light run of beef calves sold under pressure. Lambs and goats sold slightly lower due to the decreased demand, while sheep sold barely steady. Friday Calves and yearlings sold on a strong active trade with choice cattle selling steady and second cut cattle selling under further pressure.

Steers

Don Weigand of Dashwood consigned two red steers that averaged 1488 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for 172.00.

Andrew Black of Proton Station consigned 12 steers that averaged 1523 lbs and sold for an average price of 167.00. Three red steers averaged 1428 lbs and sold to Butch Clare Livestock for 169.25.

Heifers

Tom Fischer of Mildmay consigned 7 heifers that averaged 1387 lbs and sold for an average price of 166.51. . One black heifer weighed 1385 lbs and sold to St Helens Meat Packers for 168.00

Southlore Farms Inc of Palmerson consigned 17 heifers that averaged 1307 lbs and sold for an average price of 159.85. Eight red heifers averaged 1271 lbs and sold to Clark Bros Livestock for 164.75. Cows There were 200 cows on offer
