Despite the recent dumping of snow, flights are arriving and departing at Windsor's airport.
Director of Operations Phil Roberts says your best bet if you're flying today is to check the airline's webpage for any delays or cancellations. Both Air Canada and Porter Airlines reported some delays in and out of airports in Toronto.
Roberts says crews have been working to keep runways and taxiways clear since Saturday. "Our problem is we can't use salt to de-ice so we have to do it mechanically," he says. "We pile it up and then we'll be a couple of days removing the piles from the big areas of the airfield."
He also strongly suggests travellers wear appropriate footwear for the weather since sidewalks and parking lots are a second priority during snow storms.
