Police Seize Loaded Rifle

A loaded .22 calibre rifle (assault rifle replica) has been seized after Windsor police say they executed a search warrant in the 3500-block of Seminole St.

Two Windsor men, ages 19 and 22, were arrested Tuesday inside an apartment unit.

When officers from the Drug and Gun Enforcement Unit and the Emergency Services Unit arrived, they say the serial number on the rifle was removed.

Police also recovered 408 rounds of ammo, a small amount of marijuana and a baton.

The two men face charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm without a license, improper storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.
