Police Seeking Suspect After High-Speed Chase

Police are looking for a suspect after the driver of a white cube van led officers on a high-speed chase through the streets of Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Friday around 3:30pm, officers responded to a report of stolen electronics being sold out of a van in the area of Tecumseh Rd. E and Kildare Rd.  While driving to the scene, officers spotted the van near Howard Ave. and Eugenie St. E.  Upon seeing the officers, the driver of the van took off heading north on McDougall Ave.

With lights and sirens activated, multiple officers pursued the van down several streets and even into back alleyways. Police say the officers were forced to call off the pursuit due to a concern for the public's safety.

Officers later found the white cube van abandoned in the 1600-block of Moy Ave.  Police say the van contained a great deal of property that is believed to have been stolen during a break and enter.

Police have identified a suspect and are looking to apprehend that individual. No other information is being released about the suspect at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
