A man was treated for smoke inhalation as crews attended a fire in an upper apartment on Erie St. S at 10pm and spent about two hours putting out a kitchen fire. Erie St. was closed while crews battled the blaze.
Unattended cooking gets the blame.
Three people living in the apartment are now displaced and aren't expected to return to the apartment for some time.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
