Vipers Fall In Game 4

The Caledonia Corvairs now have a 3-1 series lead after defeating the LaSalle Vipers 4-3 in the Sutherland Cup final.

On Wednesday, both teams scored once in the first period to tie the game, but Caledonia took a 3-2 advantage in the second. LaSalle was able tie the game with a goal at the beginning of the third, however, the Corvairs scored one more of their own to take the lead and win the game.

Head Coach Bill Bowler says the loss is an unfortunate outcome to such a close game.

"Our guys worked hard and battled to get a tie game," he says. "Their goalie made some huge saves, we hit a few posts -- that's playoff hockey. Everyone in our locker room is contributing, everyone is doing their part. We've got to find a way to get that one goal."

The Vipers and the Corvairs will face off again for Game 5 on Friday at 7:30pm.
