Hogan Memorial Tournament Returns

The 18th Annual Joe Hogan Memorial Golf Tournament's campaign is underway, raising money for the Windsor-Essex County Cancer Centre and the Windsor Spitfires Foundation.

Dan Hogan says they've also started the Sharon Hogan Memorial Scholarship Fund in honour of their mother, who passed away three years ago after battling cancer. "I'm very proud of the fact that we can carry her name on, and if we can help one person go to school, better themselves, better our community -- because if they benefit themselves at school and they better our community, we all benefit in the long run."

Hogan says the event, held at Roseland, Sutton Creek and Ambassador golf clubs, as well as the Caboto Club on September 10, typically raises more than $50,000 each year. He's proud they've been able to raise more than $500,000 since the tournament's inception, and that all of the funds went directly to benefit the local community.
