Balloonapalooza is being replaced by Fiesta Latina in downtown Windsor.
Chair of the Downtown Windsor BIA Larry Horwitz thinks it can be a festival with staying power.
"There will be a lot of daytime as well as nigh time activities and I think it will be, in years to come, a hallmark of downtown Windsor and it'll be on the map," says Horwitz.
"We think this is going to be a celebration that will really take off. I think people from all over the region, the United States, Ontario and throughout Canada will be coming to Windsor," says Horwitz.
The free downtown festival is set for August 14-16.
