A fire in a law office on Tecumseh Rd. E between Forest Glade Dr. and Annie St. caused $250,000 damage.
Officials believe it started in the attic area of the office.
The cause is undetermined, but assistant deputy fire chief Andrea DeJong says investigators believe it may have been electrical.
"There's some wiring issues in between the floor spaces that the inspector expressed some significant concerns over," says DeJong. "It started off as a residential home at one point... It's been converted and renovated a few times."
Firefighters arrived around 3:30am to find flames on the second floor and in the attic.
Soon after the fire erupted through the roof, firefighters made the decision to leave the building. They're trying to prevent the spread of the fire to other buildings in the area.
The road was closed for several hours while crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
