Kingsville's second annual Folk Music Festival has exceeded expectations.
Organizers John and Michele Law estimate that the festival, held at Lakeside Park in Kingsville, has substantially surpassed last year's attendance of 4,600 people.
John says they were pleased to see a jump in attendance.
"We wanted to grow. We wanted to do the first one to show people around here what we can do, and the great talent we have in Canada," he says. "It's looking great and we're looking towards year number three already."
The weekend festival, which kicked off on Friday, featured over 30 national and international award-winning musicians, performing on the main stage and interacting during four daytime sessions.
All proceeds from the festival are donated to the Music and Arts for Youth fund.
