A community celebration is planned for over the noon hour today outside Leamington District Memorial Hospital.
Spokesperson Bill Baker says it's a thank you to the residents of southern Essex County.
"We'll be hearing from groups like the one that saved OB," he says. "It is also about how the community came together, really rallied, and have the officials and expert panel hear what the community really needs."
Baker says the hospital also wants to showcase some of the community partners that are now operating out of the hospital.
The free BBQ runs from 11am to 2pm in the hospital parking lot. The WE Trolly will be shuttling people from parking lots near Leamington District Secondary School and the Rona store.
