Thanksgiving is a time when everyone is well-fed, and Sun Life Financial Windsor-Essex is making sure of this.
In partnership with Sobeys, the company held its first turkey drive on Thursday to help 170 families over the holiday.
One of the Sun Life's managers, Paul Lue Pann, hopes the families benefitted from the event.
"I'm hoping that everybody's going to be appreciative of what we've done," says Lue Pann. "Especially the families because they're not just getting a meal, they're getting a full turkey, they're getting a Thanksgiving event with their families and if we can help that's what we want to do."
Sun Life has also participated in similar events, such as Food For Families and the Dragon Boast Races.
Lue Pann says the company's primary goal is to help Windsor families.
"We want to make sure we show the community we're not just about business," says Lue Pann. "We are going to help everybody with their financial endeavors and what they need to help themselves and their families. But we also want to show we are giving back to the community and I think that's the staple of what we're trying to do."
