It's back to the city council table for Windsor-Tecumseh Conservative candidate Jo-Anne Gignac.
Gignac lost handily to Cheryl Hardcastle of the NDP, with over 8,500 hundred votes separating the two.
"We put our heart and soul into it and the people have made their decision. A decision I think reflects the importance of our democracy. I'm prepared to live with it."
Gignac is the councillor for Ward 6, representing the Pillette Village and Old Riverside area of Windsor.
She says she had hoped to give Windsor more of a voice at the federal level, and says she will continue to do everything possible to shake money free for Windsor.
