UPDATE: Bomb Threat At UWindsor

A Windsor police bomb-sniffing dog swept a section of the University of Windsor and found nothing.

Police received a call about a possible bomb inside Lambton Tower Thursday afternoon, which turned out to be false. The scene was cleared just before 5pm.

Someone pulled the fire alarm and called in the threat, a University of Windsor spokesperson tells BlackburnNews.com.

Windsor police says no suspicious packages were found.

Campus security and Windsor police closed part of the campus and students were being detoured around the area. Everything has since returned to normal.

Buildings were evacuated as a precaution. Police say the call came in to police as a bomb threat and was considered third-hand information.

No arrests have been made.
