Investigators are busy with two overnight basement fires in Windsor.
The first call came in just after 3am in the 1000-block of Pelissier St.
Fire officials say it started in the basement of a home where nobody was living. Hoarding on the first flood made it difficult for crews to fully extinguish the blaze.
Windsor police have determined the fire was intentionally set. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
A second call came in at around 5am, this time at 1566 Dougall Ave.
Everyone inside made it out safely, officials say. However, the family is displaced due to fire and smoke damage to the home.
This structure fire also started in the basement. Dougall Ave. was blocked from Shepard St. to Hannah St. for a short time, but has since reopened.
Firefighters also responded to a third fire Thursday night.
