Disabled Woman's Bike Possibly Stolen

A disabled woman wishing to one day complete a cross-Canada trek on her three-wheeler had the bike possibly stolen.

Windsor police began investigating the missing handcycle on Tuesday.

The bike was being stored at St. Georges Anglican Church on Devonshire Crt. while the woman recovered from an illness that put a stop to her journey. As of July, 2001 she had traveled across all but four provinces in this handcycle.

She hasn't seen the bike since June of 2014 while it was being stored and she was informed it was missing on January 9.

The bike is an Invacare Top End Excelerator XLT three-wheel handcycle. It's black in colour with some gold flecks in the paint.

It was donated to the woman by Invacare Canada to assist in her life-long charitable fundraising journey.

If you have any information, Windsor police ask that you give them a call at 519-255-6700 ext. 4305 or Crime Stoppers anonymously
