The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says fire crews responded to the fire at 2880 Tecumseh Rd. W on Friday just before 5:30pm.
Officials attribute the cause of the fire to unattended cooking. Damages are estimated around $20,000.
Fire officials say one person has been treated for smoke inhalation.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
