Authorities are officially charging the owner of a west-end duplex in Windsor with six offences related to smoke and carbon monoxide detectors after a fatal fire in February.
The charges against the landlord were laid on Monday and related to detectors not working in the home and not having appropriate smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
The fire at 395 Curry Ave. led to a woman dying of smoke inhalation. Her two dogs also died in the fire.
Investigators say the fire started on the kitchen stove and caused about $150,000 damage.
