Windsor Diving Club Opens

Windsor now has an official diving club.

The club offers diving lessons for all ages for recreation and at a competitive level.

"The younger the better but as I said diving is for everyone, it could go at any level. As long as they enjoy it and love the sport," says head coach Olympian Ioana Marinescu.

Marinescu comes to Windsor from London and says the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre is one of the best facilities she's seen.

"This facility is like kids in candy land, it's amazing. One of the best I've seen in the world." says Marinescu.

The club currently has 16 members and is actively recruiting.

"Diving is one of the sports that involves a little bit of fear," says Marinescu. "My job is to teach them how to get over it and when the kids achieve that they're ready to move on to the next one. It could turn them into amazing divers but not everyone is going to be a champion but for sure they will be champions in life."
