The Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce has added a new priority for 2016.
The chamber says they will be working with local businesses and government to make sure the region is included in the provincial government's SuperCorridor of innovation.
Chamber President Matt Marchand says the government has committed $100-million to the corridor and the area deserves their share.
"We've got a great tech sector, we've got a great tech community, we have lots of innovation going on down here. The responsibility is on us now to go make that case in Queen's Park and see Minister Duguid and advise him of all the great things happening here," says Marchand.
Marchand says he has already met with AMO President Gary McNamara to develop a strategy.
