Filling Empty Economic Development Positions

The Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation will be filling some empty positions within the next couple of months.

Recruitment and interviews are underway to fill the position of Director of Business Attraction and the Business Attraction Specialist.

Interim CEO Rakesh Naidu says they've narrowed down the director position to two local candidates.

"The intention of hiring these people is to really increase resources in the foreign direct investment sector. Bringing more people here who can help us in bringing more investment from outside our region," says Naidu.

The board of the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation is also beginning the process to fill the position of CEO left vacant when Sandra Pupatello stepped down last year.

"Probably within the next month we'll be announcing our process that we will be following to look for the permanent CEO position," says Board Chair Marty Komsa.
