Local McDonald's restaurants are looking to fill around 140 positions as part of the company's national hiring day.
McDonald's VP Victor Rocca says restaurants accept applications year round but today there is an extra push to fill open spots.
"The idea behind national hiring day is to put a focus on McDonald's and the opportunities of working for McDonald's on a singular day. We schedule it ahead of our summer months when the restaurants are the busiest," says Rocca.
Some restaurants will hold interviews on the spot while others will arrange times at a later date.
"We want people who've got energy, a great personality, and want to be guest facing and providing the needs of our guests," says Rocca.
He says they are looking for applicants for staff, management, guest experience leaders, cooks and servers.
