The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board has a new contract agreement with its elementary teachers.
Details of the deal are not expected to be released until it's ratified by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association, although there's no word yet when that vote might happen.
"We believe this is a fair deal that is fiscally responsible for our ratepayers, and makes certain that the best elementary teachers will be in front of our students," says Board Chair Barb Holland.
OECTA represents 745 teachers at the local Catholic school board.
Negotiations continue with secondary school teachers, as well as the union representing custodial, maintenance, office, clerical and technical workers.
