The housing market in Windsor-Essex shows no signs of slowing down with a 7.1% increase in sales last month over April 2015.
Realtors sold 679 homes in April compared to 582 during the same month last year. So far this year, over 2,000 homes has changed hands, an increase of 17.5%.
As for how much money homeowners looking to sell can now expect, the average selling price jumped another 14% last month. It's now $227,520 compared to $199,586 just one year ago. So far this year, the average selling price has increased 12.5%.
Houses selling in the range of $140,000 and $179,900 remain the most popular. The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors says 119 homes in that range changed hands.
