Two extra crews had to be called in to battle the fire at 579 Church St. just after midnight on Sunday.
Firefighters noted heavy flames were coming from the second storey of the home.
The fire caused an estimated $80,000 in damages. The investigation is ongoing.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
