The tenth annual 24-Hour Drum Marathon for Transition to Betterness is underway.
This year, the event sponsored by Blackburn Radio and Cool FM is also collecting money for the St.Clair College Fund.
Tea Party drummer, Jeff Burrows got behind the drum set at Good Time Charly Bar & Grill at midnight Friday, and he plans to stay there until midnight tonight.
Joining him on stage, an extensive list of musical acts, including Colin MacDonald and John-Angus MacDonald of another Canadian band, The Trews. The two rockers from Nova Scotia will hit the stage with Burrows in the final hour.
"We haven't really discussed the nitty-gritty," says John Angus MacDonald. "We sorta talked about doing some covers, maybe a Tea Party song, maybe a Trew song, but keeping it pretty casual. You know, this just like the last hour of 24, so we don't want to throw too much at him. We don't wanna do any Rush songs or anything like that. I think his arms would fall off."
Other acts include The Twisted Sisters and Crissi Cochrane.
Over the past decade, the fundraiser has raised cash to ensure the comfort of patients and families living with cancer and other diseases in Windsor-Essex.
