Humane Society Seeks Missing Dogs

The Windsor Essex County Humane Society is asking for the public's help in locating a missing dog involved in the ongoing puppy mill investigation.

On Friday the humane society executed a search warrant at home on Bonita St. in the trailer park in south Windsor off Division Rd.

At the time six dogs were removed from the home after being found in 'filthy conditions'. The humane society has now seized a total of 14 dogs involved in the investigation. At least seven were abandoned by the owner Friday morning at various locations out of concern that they would be found during the investigation that began Thursday.

A dark small breed dog named Max is still missing. He was abandoned early Friday morning with three other dogs at Broadway Blvd. and Matchette Rd. The other three dogs have been located and are currently at the humane society.

The humane society is asking anyone who sees the dog to contact them immediately. They say the dog may dart if startled.

The owner of the dogs has been identified and charges are pending.

The humane society is also looking for another small breed, light coloured dog named Ted from a separate investigation. Ted is missing from a backyard where two other dogs were held. The other two dogs were found on Walls Rd. between Lakeshore Rd. 101 and Lakeshore Rd. 103. There have been sightings of him in that area.
