The University of Windsor and Western University are re-signing an affiliation deal that sees to the operation of the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the Windsor campus.
The agreement is for another ten years.
University of Windsor President Alan Wildeman says the new deal will help strengthen the relationship between the two post-secondary institutions.
"Our collaboration with Western provides full medical education programming in Windsor and represents an exceptional partnership that is making our university and community stronger, " says Wildeman.
The Windsor campus has 152 students studying medical education.
The first affiliation agreement saw the opening of the Windsor campus of the Shulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in September 2008. The program has since expanded to include post-graduate students and a greater role in helping to improve healthcare delivery in the community.
