Justice Finds Loving Family

Justice the dog is going to his forever home.

The dog who was found bound and abused last October has been officially adopted from the Windsor and Essex County Humane Society.

The woman, who only wanted to be identified as Mrs. P, says she wants to give Justice a loving, caring and private home with her family.

"He's famous because he was abused and that chapter of his life needs to close. It needs to come to an end and he needs to stop being Justice the abused puppy and be Justice the dog that took over my end table," says Mrs. P.

She says Justice has fit in wonderfully in her Essex County home with herself and her 10-year-old daughter.

"The Windsor-Essex Humane Society was excellent with making sure he got the right home, the right care and they've done phenomenal work with him as a dog," says Mrs. P.

The humane society says around 20 people came forward to adopt Justice but this family seemed to be the best fit. Executive Director Melanie Coulter says Justice had special needs and needed a home with no other animals and no small children.

"Over the first month or so when he was here we easily had over 1000 people that inquired about adopting him but when it came down to no other dogs, no other cats and no small children that unfortunately eliminated a lot of potential great homes," says Coulter.
