LaSalle Enters The Wedding Biz

In addition to issuing marriage licenses, couples in love can now also choose to be married at LaSalle Town Hall.

"We are now able to offer the community a unique location to get married," says Director of Council Services Clerk Brenda Andreatta. "We have held a few ceremonies here since May, and the feedback has been very positive."

Both Andreatta and Deputy Clerk Agatha Armstrong are qualified to perform civil wedding ceremonies.

Anyone with a valid Ontario Marriage License can book a ceremony at the LaSalle Civic Centre in advance, and the cost is $250 plus HST. A small number of guests are also welcome. The two-storey living wall or formal council chambers are available between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

To book an appointment or for more information, contact the clerk's department at 519-696-7770 or go online to the town's website.
