Teacher Charged in Sexual Assault

A teacher of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is facing charges of sexual assault on a former student.

After a Windsor police investigation the teacher at Christ the King Catholic Elementary School is being accused of having a sexual relationship with a former student.

Christina Albini, 42, is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, invitation to sexual touching and child luring.

The school board is reserving comment on the case.

"Anytime when something like this comes to our attention it's something that we take very, very seriously. But because of the fact that his is part of a police investigation and it's a matter that will be before the courts, we're not able to comment on this case," says spokesperson Stephen Fields.
