The President of Windsor-Essex Pride Fest credits the weather for a very strong turnout all five days of the event.
David Lenz says although attendance to the Saturday Revival at the Windsor Riverfront Festival Plaza was lower than expected, more people than expected came out to other events and the Pride Bowling event was sold out.
He says the highlight of the event was Sunday's parade down Ouellette Ave.
"We had a great crowd on Sunday," says Lenz. "It was jammed packed."
Lenz says they're still adding up the attendance figures.
He says planning for next year's festival has already started. Pride Fest will evaluate how each event this year went.
"We always got to refresh some things," he says. "Next year is our 25th anniversary so we're looking at doing some exciting new things."
