Lawyers for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board are back in a courtroom filing an injunction to prevent long delays for teachers at picket lines.
The strike by support staff represented by Unifor Local 24-58 is into its fourth week with no talks planned and no resolution in sight.
The school board first filed an injunction back on October 27, but the judge dismissed it saying it wasn't complete. The board says the judge then urged it to refile its application.
Ten days into the strike, board spokesman Stephen Fields told BlackburnNews.com some teachers were delayed hours on the picket line. Parents at high schools have complained their children's education suffers because they can be left waiting in the cafeteria and gymnasium for their teachers to arrive.
About 370 custodial, maintenance, office, clerical and technical staff walked off the job on October 17 in a bitter dispute, in part over post-retirement benefits.
