Two people are facing a number of charges after a short crime spree in the Town of Essex.
The Ontario Provincial Police says on Saturday, a Ford Focus was stolen from a Morton Ave. residence, and several other vehicles were entered. Credit cards and other valuables were reportedly stolen.
A few hours later, police identified two suspects and the stolen vehicle was recovered in Amherstburg.
Joseph Hanlon, 27, of Amherstburg has been charged with the following offences:
- Seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Break and enter
- Six counts of theft from a motor vehicle under $5,000
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Two counts of unlawful use of a credit card
- Five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Break and enter
- Five counts of theft from a motor vehicle under $5,000
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Two counts of unlawful use of a credit card
