Dog Killed In Fire

Windsor police are investigating a fire that killed a dog on a business property on St. Luke St. in Windsor.

The fire broke out at around 1pm at the rear of the property of Discovery Landscaping where the dog was kept in a pen.

An employee of Discovery Landscaping Chris Poupard believes the fire was intentionally set.

"It's completely and utterly disrespectful, it's takes somebody really low to burn an animal," says Poupard.

Poupard says the dog Tank, was a nine-month rottweiler with lots of energy and a companion to many employees at the shop. He says he is personally offering a reward to any information that leads to a conviction.

"Great dog all around, wouldn't hurt a flea unless it was after hours and he was on duty. All the guys here every time they come in they'd bring him bones and he was very friendly to all of us, very playful," says Poupard.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.
