After no scoring in the first period, Graham Knott put Windsor on the board with a goal 15:42 into the second. Tyler Nother scored in the third to put the Spitfires up 2-0 and Knott scored his second of the night with just under three minutes left in the game.
Goaltender Michael DiPietro made 21 saves for Windsor during the game.
The Spits are back on the ice on Saturday to take on the Wolves in Sudbury at 7pm
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
