Police Make Gun Arrest

Windsor police started off the new year by getting a gun off the street and arresting an alleged drug trafficker.

On Sunday at around 5am, Windsor police were investigating an assault in the area of Lauzon Rd. and Tecumseh Rd. East.

Police witnessed a man matching the description of the wanted suspect in the area of Tecumseh Rd. when they approached, the man ran.

After a brief foot chase the officers were able to arrest a suspect. A loaded revolver handgun was seized, along with a quantity of suspected marijuana and a large sum of cash.

A 26-year-old Windsor man was arrested and is facing multiple firearm charges as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking. The man was not involved in the assault.
