Funding for the new school in Windsor's core was announced in November 2015. The Ministry of Education has committed $15.42 million for the new school.
The school will be built to accommodate around 645 student.
Currently the school is operating out of the former W.D. Lowe secondary school. The new location is about 1 kilometer away from the current site.
Windsor police are looking for two suspects involved in a violent assault over the weekend.
