Spitfires Fly Through Storm 5-2

The Windsor Spitfires topped the Guelph Storm 5-2 in OHL action on Friday.

Gabriel Vilardi scored 7:19 into the first period to start things off for Windsor, and the Storm was quick to follow up with a goal of their own. However, Julius Nattinen and Graham Knott both scored to put the Spitfires ahead 3-1 going into the second.

The Storm scored the only goal of the second period to put them within one point, but Jeremiah Addison scored early in the final frame and then Julius Nattinen scored a goal 13:32 into the period to cap off Windsor's win.

Windsor goaltender Michael DiPietro made 25 saves out of 27 shots on net.

The Spits will take on the Attack in Owen Sound on Saturday at 7:30pm.
