A 63-year-old from the US is facing a careless driving charge after a truck lost control and rolled on the EC Row Exwy. at Lauzon Pkwy. in Windsor.
The Windsor Police Service says the transport was spotted swerving as it travelled east, just before 1am Friday. It then crashed through a guard rail and rolled as it attempted to head up the off-ramp to Lauzon Pkwy. N.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The truck was hauling 40,000 lbs of paper and also spilled some fuel in the crash.
The off-ramp was closed for several hours to facilitate an extensive clean up. The ramp was reopened to traffic around 5:40pm.
