The University of Windsor Student Alliance says its members have passed a referendum approving of $73-million in upgrades at the St. Denis Centre.
The vote was whether to approve an increase in student fees to pay for the project.
Someone was a little nervous - looks like they were biting their nails waiting for the results! We did it @UWindsor! #addbricks https://t.co/LkTj93fcbO

This week's referendum was the second referendum on the matter. A vote in 2015 was also in favour.
The final tally was 2510 to 1391 or 64% in favour.
Last fall, the Graduate Student Society also held its second referendum on the upgrades. That vote, along with a previous one approved the project.
University President Alan Wildeman has said construction on the project could start in 2018.
