For the first time in 236 days, library branches in Essex County will open their doors to the public.
The Essex County Library will resume regular operations at all 14 branches on Thursday. The grace period for waiving fees and fines will continue until April 30.
The branches shut down last June when library workers went on strike in a battle over sick time and a third-party insurer.
The two sides reached a deal in talks last Thursday, and on Friday, 70% of the members of CUPE Local 2974 voted in favour of the contract.
Operating hours for each branch on Thursday are listed:
* Amherstburg Branch: 10am to 8pm * Comber Branch: 5pm to 8pm * Cottam Branch: 5pm to 8pm * Essex Branch: 10am to 8pm * Harrow Branch: 1:30pm to 8pm * Kingsville Branch: 10am to 8pm * Lakeshore - Toldo Branch: 1pm to 8pm * LaSalle - Bill Varga Branch: 10am to 8pm * Leamington Branch: 10am to 8pm * McGregor Branch: 5pm to 8pm * Ruthven Branch: 5pm to 8pm * Stoney Point Branch: 5pm to 8pm * Tecumseh - Cada Branch: 10am to 8pm * Woodslee - Libro Centre Branch: 5pm to 8pm.
