HDGH Executive Named To Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority

Canada's Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi has appointed a local health official to the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority.

Marie Campagna is now the Vice President of Corporate Services at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. The interim appointment to the board of directors is for up to one year.

"I am eager to share my experiences with the board," says Campagna in a statement from Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare.

She joins fellow appointee Andre Juneau, a former deputy minister of Infrastructure Canada and fellow at Queen's University's Institute of Intergovernmental Relations.

A release from Infrastructure Canada says the appointees will provide strategic guidance and oversight to the bridge authority, which will manage the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Gordie Howe International Bridge.

The new six-lane bridge between Windsor and Detroit is expected to open to traffic in 2022.
